A new beginning for Lucy Lighting
Lucy Lighting has moved to a brand new £6 million purpose built site in Thame, Oxfordshire. Previously based in the centre of Oxford, the street lighting equipment supplier has chosen a 5.5 acre site on the outskirts of Thame to establish its headquarters and main manufacturing plant in the UK.
The new facility will employee over 200 people in technical, manufacturing and office based positions. The manufacturing plant utilises a logical production flow for materials and components and the assembly halls use line side deliveries via KANBAN systems. A new supervisory structure has also been introduced to ensure that the new facility provides the ideal environment to achieve high levels of product efficiency and quality.
